Hello!!! Matrak Attakk is going on tour again in August! In the meantime, Me and Py are going on tour in the basque country and Madrid with the reformed ORTIKA (ortika.bandcamp.com) and our Roman and Ellie are playing a weekend with KHLORE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEew0zw1ARw) and Migou left the band.
About his reasons, he said ' he had no time with other projects', honestly I can say in my own blog, that I am happy that he left. Nothing really bad happened, but I don't think that Matrak Attakk ethics, music and people, really fit him, nor he was really fitting in the band. I say this just because I'd like to normalize stuff like this happening : Sometimes people dont really fight but just, are not friends. And honestly I don't want to play with not friends anymore, and when people make you feel awkard and you just sense bad feelings, is just good that people split in ANY KIND OF RELATIONSHIP.
My, and I must say, our, only problem, is that we are not used to say to people to leave and we mostly leave or stay in those relationship.
So I can just say, thank you Migou for leaving on your own :)
Our extended collective, was already bringing Ellie from Khlore with us in August to Moldova and back!
And who is going to play with us in Aachen, for KRACHFEST in November, is a tba!
For now our Roman has been already promoted to guitar player :)

THE SOUTHERN AFRICA TOUR IS OVER!!!

we had a lot of fun, touristic moments (for once, many) weird moments and great moments. We discovered scenes and people we wouldnt have meet otherise. We met the local punks and metal heads, we heard different stories. We visited the apartheid museum, we ate in an ethiopian restaurant, we got asked for money really often, we slept in small hotels, big hotels, we climbed and had panic attacks, we saw many, many many animals. We met native people in Namibia, Koi Koi people speaking clock languages, we met local metal cowgirls and boys in Botswana, we slept at SkinFlint mansion in Geborone, we met lovely people and bands, we met bad people too, we spent days in aereoports and we risked a cancelation that we luckily  avoided . We met elephants, rhinos, springboks, squirrels, babboons, sealions (otaris), zebras, and many other animals. Check the pics on FB if you want more national geographic.

No, what we do is not easy, but what else should we do ;)?

Damn me and this blog: a bit of updates!!!!

 Well I'm really not so much on this blog but I should for the few of you reading it, still prefer ING a blog to a social media. You are so right.

When I connect to ShitBook I'm like wtf we are only 30plussers here and everyone just want to show up what they are eating what is nice when it's vegan, or showing off political knowledge, or even try to bash others for tiny reasons.

Well , my last post was about Philippines. That tour went ACE. It was just more than awesome. No words to describe those amazing punks and anarchists there. Their food not bombs is huge and they cook and sing greatly♥️

After, Philippines, we went 9 days to south of France and Italy, this was June 2023

Afterwards in July,our split LP with Persona Non Data from Groningen was out, so we went again on tour to catch up with them and make a kind of release party, taking our LPs. And we profited to go back to Sweden and Norway after many years.

This was the last tour of Antoine with us. That said he temporarily left the collective to dedicate to his new house project.

After we had a 3days mini tour to say bye to him, with Ripoll at the bass. As we were invited to a lovely festival.

November 23 was the time to welcome another member of the collective, Roman, ready to catch the bass and come on tour with us and the friends of RAN. This was his first ever tour and gig. But we didn't know. We are so happy to have him now.

In January 2024, we had some more days on tour to end in Grind here right now.

In February 2024 we were invited to frost punx again, so we welcomed ELI in the collective  at the guitar .

UPCOMING PHILIPPINES TOUR

 This is finally happening! It wasn't easy to book flights (that got canceled, mis bought etc) and we will be basses by JAY MALLARI from Manila that we thank a lot for joining our Collective!
Philippino punks we are going to meet are part of Food Not Bombs, organise DIY benefits and concerts and are fully into Anarcho Punk Ethics!

Why Philippines? As some people of FERAL CRUST collective once in 2018, mailed us to play in their festival, we didn't collect enough band money yet, so we said, allright we come in 2020 it will be allright! But then Covid arrived and so taking planes was not possible!

Now we go also thanks to Radek from Ostrava  that organised us in the kids neighborhood, to give me the glimpse of the low cost flights that we could afford!!!

3 DAYS IN NOVEMBER 4 DAYS IN DECEMBER - THE DEPARTURE . . . LOOKING FOR NEW BASS PLAYER OR GUITAR PLAYER from Novomber!

 

We had a lot of fun those 3 days. Then we couldnt stop. So we've been invited to a festival in Milano and as Antoine and Migou were busy, me and Py went with Niccolo' and Achille (and 39 fever of Py probably) Us 3 had a blast, the other one risked big. But it was great to see again some friends in Switserland and Italy.


In February we went again 3 days with Ripoll as guest bass :

It was a pleasure to spend 2 days again with Travolta and see our (prison) mates of Au Bout the nos reves XD XD XD thanks to Gummo we had a blast in Lille and thanks to MartO a practice room! We had a great Karaoke and Im so glad to spread the Karaoke Love to all the band members (except Py).

We recently heard from Antoine, that he will be back with us from June until October, but then he will leave again, and as the show must go on, even tough I prefered with him, we need to find a new guitar or bass player that is as good and crazy enough to be good, self learning and available for long tours. Migou recently learned all the songs with the guitar and can easily switch between the 2 instruments, so the choice is yours : do you want to play guitar or bass with us and tour the world (ahah) ?

THE PAST SEPTEMBER UK IRELAND TOUR

Oh that was total fun!
Wish we could do this all over again (well I'm going back to sing with Anti-System and Migou is going to be there with Civilian Thrower, so I think we enjoied!)
In this tour we discovered many things. We knew that english punks nowdays are mostly so sweet ad we have some friends there, but indeed in the UK everybody's polite! And when they are pissed they are crazy!
Already as we arrived in Brighton to play with Bömber and Strenous, and see again Christine  and Jules (Missing the point records)of the Flue Sniffers, we get to know that finally, the Queen died! That was a match! I never saw so many happy punks and so many pissed off trolls on facebook as we announced it! Hilarious!

Than I fell in love with cider, I stopped drinking beer there, and I fell in love with Scotland too, those landscapes are gorgeous and their breakfasts vegan version are really my thing!
We had a lot of fun and we flew 3 days playing in Ireland, we found last minute Kim and Saturn, ready to help us in Sligo as Belfast canceled our show. So we found the Deadbeats and thanks to Alex we could have a show there! While  thnx to Clodagh of GRIT, we could play in 3 different cities and fly to Scotland!

So this was the poster, but Belfast got replaced with SLIGO :)

This tour ended in Chimpy Fest where we went one day before to see Siege and Dropdead, and also our friends of Travolta and Hetze. We had a blast there as well and we left to each resp. home until November where we had 3 shows in France, so that we could play again with Disaffect and see each other indeed XD

TAKING BACK THE BLOG

 I am so sorry, I am so ashamed I cannot keep up the blog and turning myself into a brainless insta and fb poster, even tough not that much as for me PC means work right now!
So Sorry, I will definitively ask my pals of the band to help me out on this blog! 

So last news we gave was tour with Interpunkce! That was haze indeed!

After that tour, I (Cristina) moved back to Florence so we didn't see each other for 2 months until we had to record the 5 songs for the split with PERSONA NON DATA one week before the UK IRELAND and SCOTLAND tour! and so we did! The album will be out april/may 2023 and it will stay a DIY LABELS co-operation guided by bands, helped by labels.

2 of the 5 songs are already online, ofc free to download, and nope not on spotify, (what you find on spotify ain't our song as it's easy to see, but if you never listened to us yet, it's easy to fall into the trap! The song on spotify is just my personal collaboration with Krav Boca and Marco of My Own Voice and the beat down song you are hearing, it's our friends "Krav Boca' 10K"s music :P)

We also printed beautiful shirts, actually Py is, since I left he's doing all the merch alone and I feel workless, at least I should write the blog:
Look at this shirt, looks like a trendy hipster made it and we sold out not only to insta and fb but also to trends! but nope, it's Py that is becoming a great artist, I think people reacted positively anyway while I didn't trust the hype! XD
