Spain and Portugal was intense!

 

Yes we are back! And we are leaving again xD we loved to be again in Spain and Portugal and to see old and new friends. We played with some amazing bands like Queimada ( PT ) and Trholz ( Toulouse ) and many others. We discovered places we didn't know yet like cosa Esquirla, and Disgraça. 

We have been participating to a benefit for Palestine where we contributed from Lille to Lisboa, we had some days with the almighty Dischavizer from Brazil and it was a pleasure to see them back.

Hope we can have another amazing tour soon, away from anti Deutsch and bad vibes ;) 

Alive and busy, maybe as ever!

Our UK tour was amazing.

Brighton: It was great to see Christine and all the people that work with her and that they support, playing together with us and coming to the gig.

Seems like there's some good in UK social work and therapeutic works, that is not seeing neurodivergent people as problems, but as people. And trying to include everyone when anarchist ethics should be integrated, as in (anarcho) punk shows, is what we are all supposed to do.

Afterwords we played in Trowbridge thanks to Neill we met lovely people of the Pump and Rene and Jay hosted us so warmly! We played with great bands and our drummer Elie got the name he deserves : Otto :)

Bristol Monochrome Festival was amazing. As I'm more and more interested in noise I had the time of my life in the small room. I loved so many acts and it was such a nice festival.

London was great. Amazing bands and friends and we slept in a squatted church!

The 4 days down to Switserland were amazing as well.  Strasbourg has a new awesome collective embracing different anarchist ethics and putting the points on a lot of important but forgotten issues. I loved to be there and seeing old friends 

Freiburg , KTS was fun and messy with the friends of Gummo and so was The Kuzeb! So the Kuzeb is on sale and thanks to many donations, the punks will buy it. What means that it will stay ❤️🖤

It was nice and cosy ilon Sunday in Luxembourg and we saw again many lovely people.

We just played with MDC, Barackcka , Burning Lady, Balm Squad and Bavure in our beloved Au bout de nos rêves in Tournai, Belgium, as in Charleroi they decided to cancel the gig a couple of days before as they trust only or sale. Well, bad for them cause we had a full house and a lot of fun.

Sorry I've been very busy and forgot to update the few readers of this blog about our gig at Au bout de nos rêves last January!

We made many new songs , going for a full house ;) 

There will be an Indonesian tape for out south east Asia tour.

Here the flyers of the past January gig with our friends of Cheswick , K.D.G., and the new lovely  punk as fuck band Habenmeuf.

Since then Adri joined us at the bass! There will be some shows without him but mostly , he'll be with us!

In march Billy and Roman are touring with Khlore for the first time in France. You better go see them!

Adri will be touring with Utopie and I'll have a couple of shows with Fatal Session.

We keep on been invited and honestly we cannot be more happy to still feel loved after so many years of (hyper)activity.

So here's plenty of updates about the gigs we will do in 2025. 

We decided to take a more positive feminine and feminist image : no more bossy guys are allowed in the band. Nor, guys that don't fit our ethics. That's why we asked the really talented @viande_triste to draw something about , cit. victors not victims feminism. No more boring Charcot's old drawings, no more taking from the web with little modifications.

There will be another friend collaborating with us, I'll publish her drawings as they are ready ♥️ her name on insta is @tenebrarum_art

@Viande_triste design will become shirts, LP Cover and ... Pins! 

We are a trio for the moment, but the bass amp will be on stage and our Roman has a switch pedal. So we will have a bass sound anyway!

Our next gig will be with our mates in Tournai BNR, cause Cristina misses karaoke and some people in Belgium ;) and we are making new songs for a fresh, new set with some musical changes, surely at the drums, but also in the tuning, the guitar riffs, and even the vocals.

The tour in Spain and Portugal is almost fully booked and things are taking form thanks to your lovely invitations! 

We cannot be more happy!

Nous sommes en route pour Groningen, notre dernière tournée de l'année et on voulait clarifier pourquoi Py ne fait plus partie du groupe. Nous avons décidé d'éloigner Py car certains de ses comportements ne représentait plus les éthiques que Matrak Attakk a toujours représenté. C'est une décision collective au sein du groupe.

On ne souhaite pas faire des histoires, on souhaite repondre aux articles, curieux et aux conclusion attive! 

A bientôt a Groningen, Rotterdam,Aachen et Brussel!

Hello! We are leaving on tour and wanted to clarify that we decided to remove Py from Matrak Attakk because his behaviour didn't represent the ethics that Matrak Attakk always represented.

It was a collective decision and with this clarification we don't intend to make stories and we don't want to create false stories. It is just the reason why and we want to answer to friends , bloggers and followers of the band that ask themselves why we collectively decided this.

TAKING AWAY WHAT WE THOUGHT WAS A HUMAN RIGHT

We were so taking for granted to have the right to demonstrate for anything that was unfairly going on in the world.

We may not speak of some factions anymore, and others are already been declared terrorists in some countries. Whatever are your ideologies. It would be so great to keep it rational at least outside our minds, and talk about governments not people. As the little kids that die in every hospital when military forces of the other factions bring them down, are everything but terrorists. Just like your lil white babies you are taking care in the smooth calmness of your middle class house.

There's no life that should be considered less valuable than any other, and theres still need of feminism in a world where rape is STILL a strategy to annihilate people during war! 

Because that we like it or not, we are near a total war. And in countries as Italy, where I live again since 2 years, now the right to demonstrate in favour of the people of Palestine has been revoked!

Protesting for any genocide is not a crime, hating people based on their religion or role in history IS to condemn. 

Hating Jewish people because you hate what their government is doing is a bad thing as much as hating any other group of people just because they are mis-represented from false biases!

Condemning right wing corporational governments, that kill innocent people and expand conflicts in far away countries with the help of a MORE POWERFUL Nation, born from colonialism, that already exterminated natives as they were born, that because they 'liberated' some countries in Europe that were occupied by the Nazis, still keeps them on a leech, and makes them pay their high financial war depth, Should be tolerated. Should be protected.

No life should be sacrificed for any rich person.

This world is turning to a catastrophic mess.

And we are witnessing this all. Mostly with our blank eyes and hearts.

Let's meet soon in Holland and Germany for a nice night, because we should cherish the good moments, and the lil pieces of freedom we got left to enjoy, before conflicts will reach us too.

Just like when you feel like ' it will never happen to me' and when it does, you realise why that person suffered so much.

Moldova and Eastern Europe Tour

 Finally! In some days I got my flight to Beauvais and my practices with Matrak Attakk in Lille ( oh we never been back so close to Belgium as now!) and we are ready to start on August 19 until September 7!

We will play you again an old cover we did and hopefully someone that was singing that when I was still a minor, and made that song will come sing it with us in one of those dates!🤭🤞🏽

Also we prepared another cover! In polish ahha so sorry I tried to learn it but it ain't a easy language to learn!

Also, we'll make a old song of ours that in Poland people seemed to enjoy from some videos we found on YouTube!

I hope this will be a staying formation, because we really like it how it is right now!  😅 We love how Elie plays and as a person, so we hope he'd be enjoying our long tours as Roman could do!

We have others that would like to try, but I hope his tour and playing crust mania will grow ;) 

Next year we have been invited to a festival in Georgia and, to Indonesia! 

And also to a UK festival in London ! So surely England will be again! 

Will we be able to do go in the other continents? We still don't know! But ofc we will try!

 Hello!!! Matrak Attakk is going on tour again in August! In the meantime, Me and Py are going on tour in the basque country and Madrid with the reformed ORTIKA (ortika.bandcamp.com) and our Roman and Ellie are playing a weekend with KHLORE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEew0zw1ARw) and Migou left the band.
About his reasons, he said ' he had no time with other projects', honestly I can say in my own blog, that I am happy that he left. Nothing really bad happened, but I don't think that Matrak Attakk ethics, music and people, really fit him, nor he was really fitting in the band. I say this just because I'd like to normalize stuff like this happening : Sometimes people dont really fight but just, are not friends. And honestly I don't want to play with not friends anymore, and when people make you feel awkard and you just sense bad feelings, is just good that people split in ANY KIND OF RELATIONSHIP.
My, and I must say, our, only problem, is that we are not used to say to people to leave and we mostly leave or stay in those relationship.
So I can just say, thank you Migou for leaving on your own :)
Our extended collective, was already bringing Ellie from Khlore with us in August to Moldova and back!
And who is going to play with us in Aachen, for KRACHFEST in November, is a tba!
For now our Roman has been already promoted to guitar player :)

THE SOUTHERN AFRICA TOUR IS OVER!!!

we had a lot of fun, touristic moments (for once, many) weird moments and great moments. We discovered scenes and people we wouldnt have meet otherise. We met the local punks and metal heads, we heard different stories. We visited the apartheid museum, we ate in an ethiopian restaurant, we got asked for money really often, we slept in small hotels, big hotels, we climbed and had panic attacks, we saw many, many many animals. We met native people in Namibia, Koi Koi people speaking clock languages, we met local metal cowgirls and boys in Botswana, we slept at SkinFlint mansion in Geborone, we met lovely people and bands, we met bad people too, we spent days in aereoports and we risked a cancelation that we luckily  avoided . We met elephants, rhinos, springboks, squirrels, babboons, sealions (otaris), zebras, and many other animals. Check the pics on FB if you want more national geographic.

No, what we do is not easy, but what else should we do ;)?

Damn me and this blog: a bit of updates!!!!

 Well I'm really not so much on this blog but I should for the few of you reading it, still prefer ING a blog to a social media. You are so right.

When I connect to ShitBook I'm like wtf we are only 30plussers here and everyone just want to show up what they are eating what is nice when it's vegan, or showing off political knowledge, or even try to bash others for tiny reasons.

Well , my last post was about Philippines. That tour went ACE. It was just more than awesome. No words to describe those amazing punks and anarchists there. Their food not bombs is huge and they cook and sing greatly♥️

After, Philippines, we went 9 days to south of France and Italy, this was June 2023

Afterwards in July,our split LP with Persona Non Data from Groningen was out, so we went again on tour to catch up with them and make a kind of release party, taking our LPs. And we profited to go back to Sweden and Norway after many years.

This was the last tour of Antoine with us. That said he temporarily left the collective to dedicate to his new house project.

After we had a 3days mini tour to say bye to him, with Ripoll at the bass. As we were invited to a lovely festival.

November 23 was the time to welcome another member of the collective, Roman, ready to catch the bass and come on tour with us and the friends of RAN. This was his first ever tour and gig. But we didn't know. We are so happy to have him now.

In January 2024, we had some more days on tour to end in Grind here right now.

In February 2024 we were invited to frost punx again, so we welcomed ELI in the collective  at the guitar .

UPCOMING PHILIPPINES TOUR

 This is finally happening! It wasn't easy to book flights (that got canceled, mis bought etc) and we will be basses by JAY MALLARI from Manila that we thank a lot for joining our Collective!
Philippino punks we are going to meet are part of Food Not Bombs, organise DIY benefits and concerts and are fully into Anarcho Punk Ethics!

Why Philippines? As some people of FERAL CRUST collective once in 2018, mailed us to play in their festival, we didn't collect enough band money yet, so we said, allright we come in 2020 it will be allright! But then Covid arrived and so taking planes was not possible!

Now we go also thanks to Radek from Ostrava  that organised us in the kids neighborhood, to give me the glimpse of the low cost flights that we could afford!!!
